Golden Point is a suburb of Ballarat located south east (approx. 2.4km) of the CBD. For at least a decade, Golden Point was the focal point of the original Ballarat township. Golden Point is a notable location of the Sovereign Hill Historic Park which is wonderful place to discover the rich history of Ballarat’s goldfields, along with the Ballarat Gold Museum which has an observation lookout from which the Ballarat skyline can be viewed. Golden Point has several restaurants, including Italian, Chinese and Indian cuisines, as well as accommodation, convention, and function venues such as Willow & Stone Estate, an exclusive wedding and special event venue. Golden Point is mostly residential, which is a popular suburb due to the proximity of the city. Golden Point is also a fabulous place for investment purposes due to the major tourist attractions close by.
