Waubra is a small town on the Sunraysia Highway, 33 kilometres north west of Ballarat with a population of 275. It is situated in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. The town is known for the Waubra Wind Farm, one of the largest windfarms in Australia. Upon completion, it was the biggest windfarm in the Southern Hemisphere.
